WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE AN EXECUTIVE POSITION? Serving in an executive position within LDPhi appealed to me because this sorority has given me so much, between a place to call home on campus, a wonderful group of women to call my sisters and a purpose to be the best version of myself, and I knew I wanted to give back to an organization that has given me so much already. As 2nd Vice President, I have the opportunity to provide this same feeling to many girls on campus who are looking for their own sense of belonging and a wonderful community of women to rely on! There is a lot of responsibility and organization required in an executive position and I knew I was ready for the challenge of taking it on!

HOW ARE YOU INVOLVED ON CAMPUS AND IN LDPhi? On campus, I am a member of the Gopher Dairy Club, AECM Club, NAMA, Agricultural Business Club, Dairy Judging Team and am employed in the Department of Animal Science. In LDPhi, I serve in the role of 2nd VP and am the chair of the Public Relations Committee.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE FOLLOWING COLLEGE? My career objectives are to serve the agricultural industry in a way that positively impacts the hard working men and women in this industry. My role in agriculture is and will continue to be advocating for the “social license” that farmers have worked so hard to develop by educating the public on modern farm practices that involve environmental stewardship and the importance of agriculture and food products for health and well-being.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LDPhi MEMORY? So far, my favorite LDPhi memory was cheering on Abby Rohweder when she ran the Twin Cities marathon in the fall of 2019. I attended this race before I even became an official member of LDPhi, but the girls were so happy to have me join in to cheer on one of my future sisters! It was a beautiful day and I had so much fun witnessing Abby accomplish a big goal of hers. I also loved my weekly workouts with Abby and Geneva Nunes earlier this semester and running all of the hills on the St. Paul campus!
