PRESIDENT
Clare Viau

YEAR IN SCHOOL: Senior
MAJOR: Plant Science
HOMETOWN: Stevens Point, WI
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE AN EXECUTIVE POSITION?
As a younger member, I looked up to the girls that were serving on the executive team for their ability to balance their school and LDPhi goals, and act as a source of guidance through all aspects of college life. I wanted to give back to our members in a similar way, and hope to provide leadership that allows everyone in the chapter to succeed!
HOW ARE YOU INVOLVED ON CAMPUS AND IN LDPhi?
On campus, I am a member of Gopher Crops & Soils, the University Honors Program, and I work in a flower breeding lab! I also studied abroad last fall in Italy! Within LDPhi, I make sure all chapter events run smoothly by serving as a resource to all of our committees and representing us on campus with PHC and OFSL.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE FOLLOWING COLLEGE?
After graduating, I hope to pursue a PhD related to genetics and breeding of perennial fruit crops. I am passionate about sustainability, agricultural communication, and research!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LDPhi MEMORY?
My favorite LDPhi memory is taking a day trip to Stillwater with some sister to paint pottery, shop, and get ice cream!
