REPRESENTATIVE AT LARGE
Megan Ratka

YEAR IN SCHOOL: Sophomore
MAJOR: Animal Science
HOMETOWN: Cold Spring, MN
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE AN EXECUTIVE POSITION? Lambda Delta Phi has meant so much to me throughout my time in college. I knew I wanted to hold an executive position to be able to make a personal impact on the chapter. I chose to run for the Representative at Large position in particular because I wanted to improve sisterhood relations and manage conflict within the chapter.
HOW ARE YOU INVOLVED ON CAMPUS AND IN LDPhi? On campus, I am a member of the Gopher Dairy Club where I am on the Scholarship and Yearbook committees and was a youth dairy camp counselor last summer. I am also a Teaching Assistant for the Dean's Engaged Leaders Seminar this year. Within LDPhi, I have been on the recruitment committee, was our MN Royal representative, and was the website chair. This semester I am the formal chair and the assistant new member educator.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE FUTURE FOLLOWING COLLEGE? After college I am considering attending graduate school for reproductive physiology. My dream job would be to work in a lab doing research on dairy cattle reproductive technologies. I also hope to own and exhibit a small herd of show type dairy cattle.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LDPhi MEMORY? My favorite LDPhi memory was my Initiation in the Fall of 2021. It was so meaningful to go through the traditions and ceremonies alongside some of my best friends and become a sister of Lambda Delta Phi.
